Jekyll and Hyde...or rather, Harold and Kumar

I had a curious idea last night...I think I'll start trying to blog while I'm high. I find that my thought processes are drastically different when I've been smoking. Who knew that there maybe was a silver lining to my arthritis? I think it'll be interesting to see how my writing differs when I'm normal vs. when I'm not.

I don't really know if this is the best idea, especially when the idea came to me as I lay in bed in a daze (my legs were swollen yesterday--not pleasant). I guess the only thing to do is do it and see!

Karma, YES!

So, there's been a delicious turn of events that is one of the sadly few times that has a result that makes you think that maybe the universe is working right.

It's our company's review time right now, which not only includes opportunities to get salary raises and/or bonuses, but also includes manager feedback reviews. These manager reviews are skip-level, meaning that they go straight to the manager's manager.

What this means is that my "dear" Ms. PITA coworker finally, finally got pwned. The team she manages turned in unwaveringly negative feedback across the board. The end result? She's no longer their manager. Team score!!

Not only that, but her manager has decided to move her out of that area. This is probably because of her disturbingly many personality issues, and he didn't want the team to have to deal with her.

To sum it up, she's one of the most toxic and passive aggressive people I've ever met. The way she talks, she apparently hates everyone at the company. Oh, and I guess she has recently developed a gastro-intestinal disorder that makes her fart 24/7. And we're not talking the quiet-you-can-barely-hear type, oh no. Her farts are the let-em-riiiiiiiip type. Yeeeeah.

What's hilarious is where she's moving to. The desk they cleared out for her is in a horribly open space that is viewable by anyone who passes through the kitchen. I knew she would have a fit over this, but what happened next still makes me shake my head.

So the day after she was ordered to move to the new seating arrangement, she apparently mounted a stealth strike. She came in at 6am and moved all her junk (minus computer)--but not to the desk cleared out for her. Instead, she tried to swipe someone else's desk, and she didn't even ask the person (our customer care person) if she could move there! Not only that, but she then went back home to supposedly "work from home".

I dunno, but IMO nothing says "immature" more than employing that kind of tactic.

Customer care girl wasn't having any of that, so when Ms. PITA's manager asked the customer girl's manager for the desk, the customer manager said no. Of course, this decision may have had a little influence from our sales team, which is filled with people that pretty much unanimously hate Ms. PITA.

Customer manager: Well, what should I do?
Sales managers: OMG, just say no!

The moral of the story? You reap what you sow, betch.

Update: Since the day Ms. PITA found out she was being demoted, she has managed to "work from home" everyday, which has resulted in a weirdness where her stuff has been punted about.

I think her manager finally put his foot down on these shenanigans, and had her stuff moved and set up at the desk she should have gone to. She's out on vacation for the entire next week, so it'll be pretty interesting to see her reaction once she gets back...

A bleh day

Ok, I'm pretty fail. I originally opened this new entry yesterday, but I got distracted by work (and, let's face it, sheer laziness). I forgot all about completing a blog post until I came back to work and saw the open tab in my browser.

Um, I just did it again....

(Trying to buckle down and write something, anything.)

It's been a relatively "off" week. Last week was rather hectic with trying to get content attributed for marketing's promotion around the deferred action program, and then also having to put together a slideshow for yet another content strategy presentation.

With all that already going on, I was confronted with an email from our "dear" coworker, talking about creating something for the site. Given our history and her general lack of tech savvy, I thought she was asking me to do it, so I went ahead and just did it.

Her offended reply to this was that she generally handles these things, to which I explained I thought she had wanted me to do it. So she then pulled a dick move, and copy/pasted a part of her initial email, with quotes around it--she was actually arguing over how her email should have been interpreted regarding who was to actually do the work.

Since she was acting like a child, I should have treated her like one by deleting what I'd done and telling her she could do it herself if that was SO important to her. I mean, seriously? Who bitches about someone else doing a little work FOR THEM??

Woosah....woosah...

Another new beginning

Well, I finally got around to setting up a new blog. After realizing that my normal domains were shut down because of an expired credit card, I decided I should stop wasting time with excuses and just get on my old stomping grounds, where it all started.

Here's hoping that this won't be yet another start to a blog that I soon abandon.
